My Fitness Story
My journey into the world of wellness began over 35 years ago. I began as a dancer, which shaped both my life and career through a strong mind-body connection and love for expressive movement. I earned a dance scholarship to college but pivoted to Sports Medicine, where I completed my degree and dove into the science of how the body functions, heals, and thrives.
But like many, my path hasn’t been linear. I experimented with nearly every fad diet, training protocol, and 'fitness formula' out there. I competed in fitness competitions, tried veganism for five years, and struggled with mental health and pharmaceutical dependence. I got married, became a mom of two, and through all of it, continued learning, leading, refining my skills, and growing.
I’ve always been a creative, curating my environment, my habits, and my work to align with emotional and physical well-being. I became obsessed with understanding the why behind our habits and how to build a healthy life that supports not just our bodies, but our minds and moods too.
In 2018, I created The MFG Project, Mood Food Groove, as a way to organize everything I had learned and experienced into a clear, sustainable blueprint. It’s the heart of my health coaching approach today and continues to evolve alongside me, my clients and my community.
Whether your goal is to feel better in your body, reduce stress, build strength, lose weight or simply stay healthy and grounded, you and I are in alignment. My mission is to help as many people as I can create a healthy lifestyle that is achievable and sustainable.
I’ve served as a fitness manager, personal trainer, group fitness instructor and mentor for 35 years, and a practicing health coach for 15 years. I’ve worked with all ages in all stages, and what I know for sure is this: Your greatest power is your ability to choose.
